Mombasa Mentoring

After two weeks in Mombasa we are on our way back home to Kipkaren. The time of mentoring was wonderful. Mark and I both find that the mentoring process is educational for us as well. As we navigate the challenges of teaching in a different culture, often in impoverished settings, our eyes are opened more and more to the barriers to effective instruction. We deeply appreciate the spirit that the Free Methodist teachers have as they enter their classrooms each day – the desire to educate and serve is high and the relationships between teachers and students show it!

Below are a few photos from our time at the Frere Town Free Methodist Academy. If you’d like to see more photos please go to Cathy’s Facebook page (Cathy Bushnell Lessig).
